Splendour Love

15/08/2014

So I finally, finally, FINALLY got around to developing and scanning my film that I took from Splendour. And I am super happy with the results! Sometimes it can be a hit or miss with film, not knowing what will turn out and what won't. But I guess that is the joy of film photography - the element of surprise. After the jump you will be exposed to these photos in its original size which is much bigger that I normally set my photos on this blog. But I felt like you wouldn't be able to fully see the details of Splendour.
Anyhow enough chit-chat check out these photos!

THANK YOU SPLENDOUR! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!

I have the case of post-splendour blues.

Can I please go back? Go back to listening to music and enjoying drinks in the sun with friends?

The Queen Bee

Melbourne, Australia October 2013
Photographed by Rob Hoffman
Seven years old, I remember waking up on Saturday mornings to watch Video Hits. One morning Destiny's Child came on 3 women in different colored rooms singing "Say my name, say my name When no one is around you, say baby I love you." And I fell in love...

Bon Iver

21/09/2012

I remember hearing Bon Iver - For Emma for the first time in one of my many youtube spirals. It was haunting, touching and moving. I downloaded their whole album and played it on repeat ever since. I was crushed when I couldn't get tickets when they toured Sydney but I was able to score them without a hassle here in New York. I loved that they decided to play at the beautiful music city hall that has so much history and character. I wasn't at first a fan of Bon Iver - Bon Iver. But I think it was simply that it was so different from For Emma, Forever ago. It all changed when I heard them play live. I fell in love at the moment with Bon Iver the album. The vibrations just affect your heart like no other. I am so happy that I went and I will hold it dear to my heart.
