The Grounds of Alexandria is always hustlin' and bustlin'. Check out my review of their bacon and egg sandwich and other goodies...
Finally Aziel and I were able to check out the Grounds of Alexandria for Sunday brunch. On first impressions this place was BUS-ZZZAY. To get a table for their indoor cafe would have taken an hour and half (which would have much more food & drink options). We decided to grab something from their ceiling menu board to sit on their garden seating.
Aziel chose the brekky burger which was a simple egg and bacon burger with a tasty tomato relish. You couldn't go wrong with this classic with the gooey egg centre that dripped all over your hands. I decided to grab the healthy brekky box which consisted of toasted bread base, avocado, sliced tomato and boiled egg, salmon and relish. Although it looked very delicious it was quite bland, it was a generous serving of avocado but only the relish brought a punch.
On first impressions of the grounds, we felt that it was a nice but too busy to enjoy. We may give this place a second chance probably on a weekday.
Until next time!
